A beautiful wedding
Hi!
Johanna here. I would like to share a very special experience that I perceived this Friday. Me, Giselle and her mother Kim, who I am staying with, actually got the opportunity to went to a catholic wedding. I wanted to dress up a little extra so I wore a red and green sari. I borrowed that one from Giselles mother and I felt so beautiful! We also went to a beauty salon before the wedding to do some French manicure.
When we reached the church I became stunned by all the pink and golden decorations which filled the church. The ceremony in the church was wonderful and the bridegroom and the bride looked amazing! It was just one little problem. When I looked around there was no one in the crowd who wore a Sari. This was a catholic wedding and it is in the hindu wedding that you are supposed to dress up like that. I felt a little embarrassed because everyone was staring at me, since I was the only one with a Sari. But anyway I felt beautiful and I believe that it is the most important thing! :)
After the ceremony we went to a place called Blueberry hill where the reception would take place. It was a gorgeous garden with lots of lights and decorations. The bridal couple danced the classical waltz and their relatives held humoristic speeches to celebrate their love.

An amazing weekend
We are sorry that we havn't been writing in a while. It's because we are doing different activities all the time.
Since last time we have visitied a cashew factory, had an interview with the minister of power and environment, visited Fine arts ( a college where they study art, they do fantastic paintings), been to Dominos, visited the Oceanography institute...
During the weekend we did several things, on Saturday we went to the zoo Bondla and the oldest spice farm in Goa, Sahakari farm. In the evening everybody did different things, Mathilde went shopping with her friend Nehal and Linnéa went to the Navy ball with her friend Leonie.
We were supposed to visit the Bogmado beach on Sunday but Linnéa and Mathilde went to a resort along the beach side instead with Leonie, Nehal and Meeta ( Nehal´s cousin). What an awesome day, swimming in the ocean, we had our nail art done, having different kind of seafood, ate tender coconut (very refreshing!).
We went to the capital of Goa, Panajim, where we did some shopping, saw some churches and went to an Italian restaurant.
Later we had a sleepover together :)

We are the champions!
Allt the swedish students participated in the game except Linnea, unfortunately she was still sick. Sofia had injured her foot so in the beginning of the match she just cheered with her Swedish flag. But she couldn't resist to participate so she joined the game as an awesome goal keeper. Johanna scored two goals aswell (Wohooooooo)! :D

Quick update!
Fotoshoot

Mathilde and Sofia are so excited about going to the beach.

We had to walk a little bit to reach the beach.

The beautiful Bogmalo Beach!

Fish, prawns, sauces, pommes frites, rice.. A great indian lunch.

Finally, we met some beautiful Swedish chicks on the beach.. =)
Our first day in Goa
At 10 a´clock we all met at the college where we took a bus to the beach. They don't drive like they do home in Sweden here, no one follow any rules, they don't wear seat belts in the cars and they honk all the time.
Well at the beach we put on sunscreen with SPF 30, because we want to start it slow. The water was amazing and we had a blast in the waves.
Then we ate som local dishes, different kinds of fish. It was delicious and spicy, but they tell us that they are easy on us with the seasoning now at the beginning, so we wonder how spicy it's going to be when they seasoning it properly. We have noticed that they like to fry their food. They fry fishes, bread, donuts and so on.
Later on we went home to rest before we had a dinner at the college. At the dinner we got our schedule of the stay and I tell you it is going to be awesome. At the beach today they told us that we are going to learn how to surf and how to use a water scooter. How fun isn't that?
But now it's bedtime, because we have yoga at 7 am tomorrow :)
Sunny greetings from Goa
Mathilde, Linnéa, Johanna & Sofia
Doha, Quatar - Waiting for our flight to Goa!
Right now we are sitting in a food court and Linnéa eats a delicious hamburger. We just found free wi-fi, so we are overwhelmed of happiness! Soon we are going to take a look in the shopping center and maybe buy some stuff.
Our Indians are hopefully waiting for us in the airport in Goa with a lot of water bottles scince we can't drink the tap water in Goa. We really look forward to meet them! Tomorrow, sunday we are going to the beach and we probably will sleep a lot since we didn't sleep that much this night and we are affected by the jetlag.

With love from
Johanna, Mathilde, Sofia and Linnéa! =)
10 days left
Right now we are working on a power point presentation about Sweden, and we hope the Indian students will enjoy it!

Soon the winter is arriving, and it is going to look like this. We are all longing for the sun in India :D

12 days left!
Hello!
Today me, Sofia, Mathilde and Linnea had our last but one meeting together with our teachers. We discussed several practical things and the preparations are going very well. Everyone were so excited about the trip and we realised that it's less than two weeks left for our departure, it's not more than 12 days!!
A few days ago I took my last Twinrix vaccination and today I took the second drinking vaccin. So now I'm fit for fight! We don't want any diseases during our two weeks in Goa. We want to be present every minute!
I look at the shedule that we are going to follow in Goa almost every day. I really look forward to all the cultural events we are going to experience. We are for example going to visit a Cashew factory, a prawn Hatchery and the Bondla forest.
See you around!

Meeting with the other schools
We want to clarify one thing. Our school isn´t going alone to India, we´re collaborate with two other schools. Those schools are Tumba Gymnasium and also Södra Latin. Yesterday, we all went to Tumba Gymnasium to meet their students and teachers. It was the first - but not the last - time we were all gathered at the same place. We discussed powerpoints, thoughts, expectations, sandwiches and a lot of other things. It made me realize that we´re leaving pretty soon. Scary, but exciting!
Today I took my other injection of Twinrix. I hate needles, but anything for India! Just have one more drinking vaccine, then I´m all set for leaving. Can´t wait!
XOXO

PS. Yesterday I wrote that Marie Lundin was a teacher at Tullinge Gymnasium. That´s not completely true. She works at Tullinge Gymnasium, but as a careers consulant. Didn´t know what that was called in English, but today I looked it up. Sorry Marie, my bad! DS.
